CitizenM has arrived in Italy with its first hotel!
A creative hotel in the center of Rome that brings together architecture, art, and design.
CitizenM is an international hotel group founded in 2005 by Rattan Chadha. It was created with the idea of transforming hospitality in a contemporary way.

The group opened its first hotel in Italy in January 2024 in Rome. The hotel is located at Lungotevere de’ Cenci 5-8 and boasts a strategic location, just a few steps from the Tiber Island and the Jewish Ghetto, offering easy access to the city’s main tourist attractions.
The chosen building dates back to the late 1950s and has been completely renovated in a modern style. The hotel is spread over five floors and was built to high environmental standards: economic efficiency, water management, and waste reduction.
CitizenM is characterized by the use of home automation technologies. Using the MoodPad provided or the app, guests can adjust the room temperature, change the lighting, open and close the blinds, set the alarm, and control the TV.
The hotel has spacious common areas, including a welcoming lobby, a panoramic bar with views of the city, a SocietyM meeting room, and a fully equipped fitness room.
Like all hotels in the group, the property stands out for its unique design, refined and meticulously detailed to offer guests a unique stay. Modern furnishings, clean lines, bright colors, and the presence of various works by emerging and established artists.
The project was curated by concrete, a Dutch interior design studio that works with citizenM on every new opening, and Atelia, an international integrated engineering company.
CitizenM is renowned for its contemporary style and focus on innovation. The chain promotes a new concept of hospitality based on accessible luxury. It offers a valid alternative to traditional luxury hotels, providing a high-quality stay at affordable prices. The use of innovative technologies, such as self-service check-in and the app, speeds up procedures and offers guests a more efficient and personalized service.
